The Meroni company was born in 1935, it is actually runned by Carlo and Katia who are the 3rd generations, follower of the grandfather’s vision statement to produce wines only with natives grapes. The vineyards and the farm are located in Sant’Ambrogio, one of the 5 little town of the Valpolicella classic area. The farm covers 15 hectares of properties (11 vineyards, 4 olive trees and woods) and divided into two estates “Sengia” and “Maso”. The ancient building, the current seat of the company, appears in a cartographic document of 1706 of the State Archives of Venice.
The estate "Sengia" already appeared in the "Land Cadastre Napoleonic" with the title of "arable vineyard planted with trees in the hill" and it extends into the valley below the village of San Giorgio said "in gana poltron" which has a beautiful church Romanesque. “Maso” is in la Grola area where a legend tells that the Recioto and the Amarone were born. The company proposes winetours among vineyards, cellar and winetasting.
