Icon of Italian wine, the Bertani winery was founded in 1857 by brothers Bertani in Quinto di Valpantena, north of Verona. The two brothers immediately became famous throughout the Verona area for their high degree of professionalism and the quality of their wines, as well as their entrepreneurial skills and innovative spirit. Bertani was one of the first companies in Italy to understand the value of bottled wine and to export the quality of Italian wine in the world. Today Bertani, with more than 200 hectares in the main wine production areas of Verona province, is a solid company with a steadily growing world-wide distribution network. The Company owns two historic cellars: the headquarters in Grezzana, “pulsing heart” of the Company, where vinification, bottling and logistic operations take place and Tenuta Novare in Arbizzano di Negrar, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, the cradle of great red wines like Amarone and Valpolicella Superiore. Forerunner in the high quality wines production, Bertani combines the specificity of indigenous grape varieties with the continuous update of production facilities and the attention to the territory. Respect for tradition balanced by a particular innovative driving force, entrepreneurial skills and commitment to quality are, in summary, the guiding principles of the Company, today also "model winery" of a main Italian wine project called Bertani Domains.
