The run-family company San Rustico has a long tradition in wine management, having already begun the activity since 1870 in the farm “Gaso” in Marano di Valpolicella. The activity inherited by great-grandfather Luigi, well-known wine-maker ambassador in the world (as it attests the gold medal received in Copenhagen during 1908) was handed on from father to son, as tradition. After the untimely death of their father Danilo, Enrico and Marco Campagnola, fourth generation of the family, continues the activity with passion and devotion. They personally follow all the phases of the production, faithful to the wine making traditions of the Valpolicella Classica: from the vineyard to the bottle. From the 22 hectares of ownership, in the hillside of Valgatara, Marano and Fumane, comes the selection of grapes for the production of the prestigious Red wines of Valpolicella Classica area, among which we remember private reserve “Gaso”, first of all Amarone Classico della Valpolicella “Gaso”.
